Just now though, I think I have found what it is.Īsus Power4Gear Hybrid is an application that came pre-installed on the machine and I've only found out today that what it does is essentially automatically put my Laptop into high-power mode whenever I plug it in.Īs I have it plugged in literally all the time, my processing speed has been constantly jacked up to 2.8-3GHz from it's native 2GHz. I've not been too worried about it though as aside from the crashes the laptop has worked perfectly and there's never been any data lost ect. I've gone through various different methods to fix it, searching up the different Bluescreen errors that appeared, and none of them seemed to work. Each time it crashes I think it's a bluescreen error, but most of the time I reboot before it appears out of impatience. It started about 1 year after getting it and has gotten progressively worse. I'm talking like mostly once a day, sometimes in excess of 4 times a day. ![]() So I've had an Asus notebook for 3 years now and it crashes a lot. ![]()
